Bujinkan budo tai jutsu
The ninja used stealth tactics against better-armed enemy samurai. This does not mean that they were limited to espionage and undercover work. Their weapons and tactics were partially derived from the need to conceal or defend themselves quickly from samurai. Ninjas as a group first began to be written about in 15th century feudal Japan predominately in the regions of Iga and Koga of central Japan. The practice of guerrilla warfare and undercover espionage operations goes back much further.
Since Bushido, the Samurai Code, forbade such tactics as dishonorable a daimyo could not expect his own troops to perform these tasks. The daimyo had to buy or broker the assistance of ninja to perform selective strikes, espionage, assassination, and infiltration of enemy strongholds. In their history, ninja groups were small and structured around families and villages. These skills are preserved in the Ryu Ha of the Bujinkan system.
Bear Clan Gendai ninpo
The Bear Clan practice stealth tactics against a better-armed enemy. We are not the military so we develop tactics derived from the need to conceal or defend ourselves quickly from a superior force. We practice guerrilla warfare and undercover espionage operations in a airsoft and milsim environment combined with the ancient Shinobi art of Ninjutsu as preserved by the Bujinkan Dojo. The blending of the ancient techniques (Bujinkan Budo Taijutsu / Ninjutsu) with weapons and tactics from the modern battle field is called Gendai Ninpo.
We gather for fun and the development of the modern Shinobi lifestyle (Gendai Ninpo). We train in a unique form of martial art as well as testing our skills in military simulation games. If you want to bring your ninja skills to the modern battlefield then Gendai Ninpo is for you.
